- Open the AudioMap disk image. If you no longer have it, download it again.
- Double-click Uninstall AudioMap. It opens in Terminal.
- Enter your Mac’s administrator password when asked.
- Read the list of what it will remove, then type y and press Return to continue. Anything else cancels, and nothing is removed.
- If it finds AudioMap settings folders, it asks a second question about them (see below).
- When it says AudioMap has been uninstalled, close the Terminal window.
It quits AudioMap, AudioMap Control and AudioMap Engine first.
- AudioMap (
/Applications/AudioMap.app). - AudioMap Control, the menu-bar app, with AudioMap Engine inside it.
- AudioMap Bridge, the audio device, and the
audiomap-bridge-ctlcommand-line tool. - AudioMap Plugin, AU and VST3, from both the system and your user plug-in folders.
- The installer receipts.
Last, it restarts Core Audio, so the AudioMap Bridge output device disappears from your Mac’s list of output devices.
Your projects are not touched
After removing the software, the uninstaller lists the AudioMap folders it found under Settings, logs and licence data and asks “Remove these too? Projects you saved elsewhere are kept.” The default is no.
/Library/Application Support/AudioMap: AudioMap Bridge and AudioMap Control state.~/Library/AudioMap: the app log, the autosave, and your licence and account files.~/.audiomap: AudioMap Bridge and AudioMap Control state.
Answer y to remove them. Answer no, or just press Return, to keep them.
Run the installer again from the disk image. See Install & system requirements.
