Exporting: processors, correction profiles and the PDF report

The File menu has three exports: Export to Processor… for a processor or another app, Export Correction Profile (.amcp)... for AudioMap's own correction file, and Export Report (PDF)... for the measurement report.

Support topics
  1. Choose File › Export to Processor….
  2. Pick an Export format. Export… stays greyed out until you do.
  3. Check Field support. It rates how well the format carries each part of your tuning as High, Partial or Unsupported.
  4. Choose the Scope: Current speaker or All speakers (the default).
  5. Press Export… and choose where to save. The save dialog starts on the Desktop.

When the file is written, AudioMap shows Export Complete with the file’s location. If it can’t be written, you see Export Failed.

The eight formats:

REW Filter Settings (.txt)
Generic PEQ CSV (.csv)
Powersoft ArmoníaPlus DTP (.xml)Can carry FIR taps.
d&b R1 EQ Settings (.rcp)
Q-SYS Designer Plugin (.qplug)
Linea TIPI Parameter Push (.tipi)Saves a file or pushes to the amp over the network (below). Doesn’t carry FIR taps.
miniDSP FIR (.txt)The FIR taps.
Impulse Response (.wav)The FIR taps as a WAV file.

What each format carries, field by field, is in the Field support panel, and listed in Projects, export & PDF report.

An exported file leaves out alignment delays and crossover filters that your licence doesn’t include. Your project keeps them. See what each licence includes.

When one speaker has a designed FIR and you pick a format that carries FIR taps, the dialog checks the taps and the design sample rate against the miniDSP OpenDRC, MiniSHARC and SHD.

If no device fits, Export… is greyed out and its tooltip says why: the taps exceed every confirmed miniDSP FIR budget at that sample rate (reduce the taps), or no confirmed miniDSP FIR device runs at the design rate (re-design at 48 or 96 kHz).

Choosing Linea TIPI Parameter Push (.tipi) and pressing Export… opens a preview instead of a save dialog. Nothing is sent until you press Push to Processor.

  1. Route each speaker to the amp output it is physically patched to: Out 1 to Out 8, or Skip (do not send). Two speakers on the same output block Push and Save until you fix it.
  2. Set Amp IP. Port starts at 51456 and Pace (ms) at 1000.
  3. Read the preview. It lists every frame that will be sent, and any warnings to read before pushing.
  4. Press Push to Processor, or Save .tipi File... to keep a file instead.

Before it writes anything, AudioMap reads back the amp’s current values and saves them to a text file named AudioMap-TIPI-readback on your Desktop. If the amp doesn’t answer, the push stops, unless you tick Push even if readback gets no replies (not recommended).

A speaker with FIR correction can’t go to TIPI: AudioMap shows TIPI Export Refused with the reason.

File › Export Correction Profile (.amcp)... saves an AudioMap correction profile. The save dialog starts on the Desktop, and the file always ends in .amcp.

The profile carries the target, limits and HP/LP corners, the measured response with phase and coherence, each speaker’s delay, gain, polarity and group, the crossovers and the correction mode.

The plugin opens an .amcp file, or the project file itself.

File › Export Report (PDF)... suggests a file named after the project (<project> Report.pdf, or AudioMap Report.pdf for an unsaved project) on your Desktop.

The report contains the settings that play, each speaker’s band tables, and ISO 3382 parameters where a capture qualifies. For every section, see The PDF report.

The sample project can’t be exported. Each export shows Sample project is read-only with “Open or start your own project to measure, save or export.”
